Chantilly Spring Show Still On for Now, But New Dates
The expanded rollout of vaccines to combat COVID-19 is happening across North America, but with a large segment of the population still waiting, larger sports card shows in most states continue to be in a state of flux.
While there’s some optimism that venues will be allowed to host larger crowds by summer, promoters are still dealing with a fluid situation.
The spring edition of The Chantilly Show, originally scheduled for April 9-11 has been rescheduled for three weeks later but it will only take place if Virginia’s COVID restrictions and guidelines allow for it. As of now, they don’t. If the April 30-May 2 date doesn’t happen, show organizers have another backup plan: June 11-13.
With possible limits to the number of guests allowed inside the Dulles Expo center, CSA Shows is recommending that collectors buy admission tickets in advance as they won’t be able to guarantee admission if you don’t. Face masks will be required and social distancing regulations are expected to be in place as well.
There’s still no word on the fate of this year’s National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago.
