Some of the top eBay sports card sellers may prefer auctions while others go the straight sales route. No matter the method, it’s clear that trading cards are still among the strongest movers on the entire eBay platform.

njunction with Marketplace Pulse has released their annual lists of the top 1,000 eBay sellers in the world and it includes several dealers that will be familiar to sports collectors. In all, four sports card companies ranked among the top 20 eBay sellers in the United States in 2020. Three of them ranked among the top 20 in the world.
The rankings are based on the number of feedback ratings given to each seller last year. Not all buyers leave feedback, of course, so the score is less than the number of items each seller actually processed but does provide a glimpse into each seller’s volume.
COMC Consignment, which offers sellers on its platform the option to cross list their standard inventory on eBay and Amazon, ranked 7th in the world last year and 4th in the U.S. with feedback growth of 460,000. On January 1 last year, the company opened an eBay auction platform, which likely contributed to their rise from 16th in the world last year. Typically, COMC now has thousands of auction listings each week.
Burbank Sportscards, which has a massive inventory at its physical store in Southern California, has traditionally ranked among the hobby’s largest volume sellers. The company was ranked 18th in the world and 10th in the United States in 2020, amassing over 267,000 feedback ratings. Burbank currently has nearly 2.5 million cards listed.
Number 11 on the U.S. list is auction specialist Greg Morris Cards. The long-time California-based dealer ranked 19th in the world and eighth in the United States, having gained 263,000 feedback ratings last year. He was the only dealer on the overall U.S. top 10 list to have a perfect 100 percent feedback score. Morris sells primarily higher-grade vintage cards, offering thousands of cards in auction-style listing each week.
Probstein123’s feedback total also ranked in the top 25 on the world seller list and came in 13th among American sellers. Owner Rick Probstein typically has over 10,000 auction listings of cards consigned by others and also sells via Buy It Now.
DC Sports87 (#29), PWCC Marketplace Auctions (#32), pfootballpete4dhx (#48), TNT Sportscards (#56), Mantlerulz (#70), Batters Box (#73) and Sirius Sports Auctions (#72) were also among the top 100 U.S. dealers.
Music Magpie based in Great Britain, was ranked as the number one eBay seller in the world, having added 1.6 million feedback ratings last year. Second Sale had the highest number of feedback comments among American sellers. Both sell primarily books, music and other entertainment products.
