Ultra-High-End Auction in Works for January
Collectable and IMG are partnering with Lelands for a high-end auction of sports cards and memorabilia set to take place in January. The auction will be limited to 25 lots, each with a minimum appraised value of $250,000.
The auction is being held in conjunction with the MINT Collective, a first-of-its-kind sports collectibles event in Las Vegas.
The MINT25 auction will run online from January 10 – January 29, with extended bidding taking place over the phone and in person at the Vegas conference. Collectors who have pieces worth at least $250,000 and are willing to offer them can make them available here. Lelands and Collectable will decide which items make the cut. Some of the lots, however, will be “experiences” rather than physical memorabilia.
Cards and memorabilia that are selected will be on display during The MINT Collective.
“This is an exciting time in the sport collectibles business and this event takes it to another level,” remarked Mike Heffner, President of Lelands. “I am more excited about this auction than any I have been a part of over the past 35 years. The magnitude of the event, coupled with the historical importance of the items in the auction, will certainly produce record results. Bidders in the auction will also be exposed to hobby collectibles that may only be available once-in-a-lifetime, giving them a chance to own items that could be showcased in any Hall of Fame.“
Founded via a joint endeavor between IMG and Collectable, The MINT Collective will take place at UFC APEX and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It will feature a speaker series focused on collectibles as an investment, a curated marketplace where vendors can display and sell their inventory, as well as a Collectors’ Carnival with sports gaming exhibitions, product drops, and other programming and entertainment.
